Why order takout?
Teriyaki Chicken is typically smothered in a thick sauce, served over rice and a few broccoli sprouts. I always get hungry for more vegetables. Something has to counter-balance the greasiness. I had a bottle of Teriyaki sauce and marinated the chicken for a few hours. The more you marinate, the better everything tastes. The ingredients had soy sauce, pineapple juice, garlic, ginger, onion, sugar, and sesame seeds. I would have added honey to the sauce to give it a thicker consistency. The sesame seeds were worthless. They basically dissolved while the chicken was cooking. So I added my own afterwards for some crunch.
I ate this with my Rice and Peas. It didn’t really go that great together. Lesson learned. Mixing cuisines together is a dangerous area.
