BIGELOW: Orange & Spice

Orange and Spice

A tea that is sweet and full of flavor.

FLAVOR: The flavor is the best thing about this tea. It doesn’t taste spicy as in “hot,” but warm and tangy. The orange complements the spices very well, reminding me of how delicious cinnamon rolls and bundt cakes are.  Steeping the tea is tricky. Leaving the bag in the tea while you drink it may not be the best way to enjoy this one. It steeps quickly and at its full steeping, creates a dark and very heavy flavor. Plus, it stains teacups if left too long. I would steep for 2 minutes, constantly moving the bag along. It would go well with thick cakes and goo-ey pastries. Perfect for upcoming autumn, this tea is going to be my mainstay.

AROMA: It smells like warmth and comfort. If that has a scent. Teas are usually light and airy, but this one is bold and robust. The aroma lasts long after the tea is done and may even leave a scent on your fingertips.

PACKAGING: As usual, packaging is normal. It keeps the tea fresh within a sealed pouch. I would love to see a line of Bigelow teas that are more genuinely made, perhaps with real dried orange peel and whole spices.
